Our finance team plays an integral role in our effective operation to ensure that CHL can pursue its objectives and expand its delivery of affordable housing.The exciting development and growth of our organisation has created the unique opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join CHL. In this senior professional role, you will be responsible for the general financial oversight for the CHL Group ensuring regulatory and legislative requirements are met. You will:  Oversee the financial administration of the organisationEnsure sufficient cash and funding, identify and mitigate against financial risksIdentify funding needs, advise on sources of funding, negotiate with lenders, and manage the funding obtainedIdentify, analyse and mitigate against financial risks, implement a risk management policy and lead risk management activitiesResearch and develop funding opportunities that align with CHL’s visionManage the preparation and delivery of funding submissionsManage the preparation and reporting of budgets, accounts, financial statements and the audit process for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs)Provide expert advice and recommendations on financial strategyReview procedures and develop strategies, polices, and standards to guide management and practiceAssess the financial viability of opportunities and projects through feasibility, project, market and industry analysisBuild, develop, and maintain partnerships with key stakeholdersNegotiate commercial and contractual arrangements for funding with key stakeholdersWhat will success look like?You will have demonstrated experience in a similar complex organisation including finance, treasury and commercial management experience. More specifically, you will be an expert in funding source identification and negotiation, business analysis and modelling. In addition, you will have sound knowledge of accounting procedures and relevant standards and legislation related to work performed. You will also have: A Bachelor Degree in Commerce or AccountingA positive and resilient approach to achieving work objectives, while encouraging a culture of sound financial practiceSuperior modelling, numeracy and computer skillsThe ability to think resourcefully to achieve CHL’s objectives while being pragmatic and risk awareExceptional communication skills and the ability to work in partnership with a range of stakeholdersStrong and effective negotiation and decision-making skillsThe ability to work independently as part of a wider team and adapt in a fast-paced environmentA commitment to the right of all people to affordable and sustainable housingA membership of professional accounting body in Australia would be advantageousIn return we offer a competitive salary, access to training and development and a range of other excellent benefits.
