About the Role:A member of the CHL Group of Companies, Aboriginal Community Housing Limited (ACHL) is a national Tier 2 Aboriginal community housing organisation that provides culturally appropriate property and tenancy management services across Australia.We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Housing Officer that will ensure self and the wider team follow relevant legislation, regulations, organisational policies, and procedures. Join our dedicated housing services team where you will be responsible for delivering high quality tenancy and property management for our ACHL portfolio of properties in the region. Your talent for building relationships and working in partnership with clients, including your existing networks with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, people, agencies and partner organisations will ensure you excel in this role.You will:Undertake tenancy & property management, working alongside tenant’s support providers.Managing arrears, rent reviews and day to day issues.Routine Inspections, PCRs and Bond Finals.Work closely with government departments, clients, support agencies, and relevant CHL departments.Please note, this role requires significant amount of travel to reach communities and properties across the portfolio.About you: You will demonstrate relevant experience providing client focused tenancy management services, including the ability to work with a diverse range of clients. In addition, you will have a good working knowledge and understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act and an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural issues in NSW, including their social, political, and historical context.
