Internal Maintenance Service Supervisor- New South Wales

Community Housing Limited (CHL) Group of Companies is an innovative and best practice affordable housing organisation which assists access to, develops and manages sustainable housing for people in need.  Our Asset Management team is essential in ensuring we continue to deliver quality housing to our customers.  We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual who will implement, lead, and manage our Internal Maintenance Service (IMS) team to fit-out, improve, and maintain properties in the region. This is a full time permanent position based in Port Macquarie. Working alongside the IMS team, you will:Manage, mentor, supervise and lead IMS staff Prepare quotes and order materials and products Coordinate works to ensure jobs are completed on time and to required standardsUndertake hands-on works as required  Ensure administrative tasks associated with contracts, jobs and staff are undertaken accurately and on timeActively seek new project development and implementation opportunities, including actively participating in tender submissions Occasionally undertake duties such as property audits and asset management projects in collaboration with the larger Asset Management teamWhat will success look like?You will have experience and understanding of all trade building works, along with experience guiding a team to ensure high level service delivery is provided. You will also have an understanding and appreciation of the importance of providing responsive and efficient asset management for our clients, and the ability to act as a point of reference or escalation for team members. In addition, you will have:White card, First Aid Level 2, & relevant OHS trainingGreat communication and interpersonal skills to provide training and shared experiences to develop team Effective time management and multi-tasking skills A talent for building relationships and working in partnership with a range of stakeholders Excellent working knowledge of asset management processes and the ability to identify and minimise potential risksUnderstanding of financial management, including implementing and working within established budgetsA commitment to the right of all people to affordable and sustainable housing.In return we offer a competitive salary, access to training and development and a range of other excellent benefits.
