CHL is driven by a collaborative team culture where every member plays a vital role in achieving our mission.The RoleA career in community housing is extremely rewarding and now you too can contribute to positive social impact and a world without housing poverty.This role will see you providing high quality administrative support to the tenancy and property team at Community Housing Limited ensuring relevant legislation, regulations, organisational policies and procedures are followed.As a Housing Support Officer, you will work closely with Housing Officers in liaising with government department, clients, support agencies and relevant CHL departments.You will be responsible for performing administrative tasks including responding to tenancy calls and emails in a timely manner, supporting the housing officers when directed by providing information and advice to tenants to assist in the sustainability of the tenancy. As well as conducting condition reports, tenancy sign up, entry procedures, lease and rent reviews, and exit procedures when instructed.This is a fixed term full-time contract until January 2025.About YouTo be successful for this role, you will have a genuine passion for wanting to support vulnerable people in our community.Essential Criteria:Two years’ experience in a similar roleStrong skills in Microsoft Office and knowledge of IT platformsDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Residential Tenancies ActAwareness of and sensitivity to the needs of people who are in housing crisis and/or have special needs/disabilitiesCommitment to the right of every person to good quality housing and a sense of belonging Current Driver’s LicenceSatisfactory Police, Working With Children’s CheckPlease note that a satisfactory police check is required for all staff and those with client related responsibilities are required to provide a NDIS and Working with Children Check (WWCC).As an equal opportunity employer, CHL works closely with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
