You will be responsible for property inspections, allocations of vacant properties, rental collection and chasing arrears, conducting condition reports, coordinating lease and rent reviews, and carrying out exit procedures.As a Housing Officer, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders including government departments, the Asset Management Unit, clients, and relevant support agencies. There may be times where you will be required to represent Community Housing Limited at hearings.You will be responsible for performing administrative tasks including reporting, addressing complaints, adhering to compliance requirements, and maintaining accurate property and tenancy data in all required systems.Please note - this is an 6-month Part-time, Fixed Term contract until 31 October 24 working 3 days per week.About YouTo be successful for this role, you will have a genuine passion for wanting to support vulnerable people in our community.Essential Criteria:Demonstrated experience in providing client focused tenancy management services.Solid understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act.Relevant skills and experience in working sensitively with a diverse customer group with complex needs, including those who are in housing crisis.Confidence in liaising with various stakeholders including vulnerable people.Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a caring and empathetic nature.Previous experience working on MS Office programs.Ability to compose professional correspondence via email to internal and external stakeholders.A current driver’s license.Desirable:Previous experience working in the social/community housing industry.Please note that a satisfactory police check is required for all staff and those with client related responsibilities are required to provide a NDIS and Working with Children Check (WWCC).As an equal opportunity employer, CHL works closely with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.CHL acknowledges the traditional Aboriginal owners of country throughout Australia and we pay our respects to them, their culture and their Elders past and present.Click for position description AUD Blackburn 3130
