Support people living on low to moderate incomes, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and those living with a disability.The RoleThe housing coordinator will manage CHL’s rooming house facilities across Victoria and lead the delivery of high quality, sustainable tenancy and property management services. This includes coordination of the rooming house facility management, supporting the Responsive Maintenance Coordinator on building compliance and safety, monitoring and oversight of the program funding, budgets and expenditures in conjunction with the State Operations Manager.About YouNo two days are the same. To be successful for this role, you will demonstrate knowledge and experience in facility management. As a leader, you will support, mentor and guide your teams in achieving results by building capability and fostering an inclusive, diverse culture conducive to growth and change. A big part of your role will see you liaising with internal and external stakeholders to manage partnerships and contribute to the broader goals of CHL.Essential Criteria: Minimum 3 years experience managing a complex workload in a social service environment. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation. Understanding of the community, social and/or public housing sectors. Demonstrated staff management and leadership experience including fostering and maintaining a successful working team environment. Awareness of and sensitivity to the needs of people who are in housing crisis and/or have special needs/disabilities and/or a thorough understanding of local Aboriginal issues, including social and historical context.Current Driver’s Licence.Please note that satisfactory police check is required for all staff and those with client related responsibilities are required to provide a NDIS and Working with Children Check (WWCC).As an equal opportunity employer, CHL works closely with people from a diverse range of background.
