Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Community Housing Limited (CHL) Group of Companies is an innovative and best practice affordable housing organisation which assists access to, develops and manages sustainable housing for people in need.  The Deputy Chief Executive Officer reports to and assists the Group Managing Director (MD) in the development and management of CHL’s services and its housing provision for people in need and is responsible for driving growth, meeting financial targets, achieving compliance and ensuring quality standards are maintained.  The DCEO will play a vital role in the strategic development of the organisation by creating and sustaining a culture of innovation, inclusion, enablement, and excellent customer service underpinned by and expressing its values and philosophy. Including:Working with the MD to develop, establish and manage new and ongoing partnerships and stakeholder relationships which includes all stakeholders such as government and promoting CHL as a project developer and provider of housing, asset management and community development servicesProvide leadership to housing, asset management and community development across company services including the development of performance monitoring, mentoring and training systemsActively participate as a member of the leadership team contribute to continuous improvement activities and attend Board and committee meetings as requiredWorking with the MD to develop and implement strategic and business plans aligned to the company’s missionProduce annual budgets and business plans for the consideration of the MDThe qualities we are looking for?Relevant experience in the strategic development of housing services for people in need and can demonstrate understanding of the Australian and International housing sectors and policy, regulatory, compliance and operating environmentsMinimum 5 years' experience as a leader in the community, social or affordable housing sectorAdvanced strategic and business planning capability and record of driving results in the creation of housing outcomes and customer service standardsDemonstrated record in the development of housing opportunities including understanding of all aspects of housing and project development process Thorough understanding of and clear commitment to best practice in housing, asset management and community development servicesDemonstrated ability to lead a senior staff team to deliver performance outcomes to support the company’s mission, strategy, values and goalsAdvanced written and verbal communication skills, including those utilised in human resource management, reporting, policy development and representing CHL at a national levelA commitment to the right of all people to affordable and sustainable housing.In return we offer a competitive salary, not-for-profit salary packaging, access to training and development and a range of other excellent benefits.
